Keeping the wheels turning during COVID-19

What are we doing at COMUNICA to continue the business during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Due to the lockdown and state of emergency, here at Comunica in Spain we are all working remotely until the crisis is over.

Fortunately, the translation business itself requires flexibility and ability to work online when needed. For instance, we work closely on a daily basis with a large number of Freelancer Translators, all of whom work remotely. We have an efficient setup with online platforms such as our main CRM tool for project management, our translation tools for production, as well as online access to all our resources. Our IT Manager makes sure everything is working smoothly and fixes any problems quickly, so that we can continue our work.

It is highly important for us to maintain the ongoing communication between colleagues, which we are able to do via the communication platform called Slack.

Especially now during this covid-19 lockdown in Spain, it is essential for us to keep in touch socially, so we don’t start to feel too isolated. We therefore start our working day sending virtual hugs to each other.

For meetings we use GoToMeeting, which works very well.

Therefore, we want to assure all our clients, providers and collaborators that we are working 100% as usual and can deal with any enquiries you may have by email and phone.

We are keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 outbreak and making sure to follow all the recommendations set out by WHO and legal restrictions imposed by our government.

During this crisis, we will continue to work remotely as long as it is needed. We look forward to returning to normal conditions as soon as possible.

Together we will fight the Coronavirus!

Kind regards,

The COMUNICA team
